On Thursday, May 19, 2022, in cooperation with coalition partners, members of the 5th Special Forces Regiment (5th SFR) participated in a demonstration of special forces capabilities under the banner of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) stationed in Tampa, Florida . The demonstration was held as part of the SOFIC (Special Operations Forces Industry Conference), while the Žilina’s Special Forces were able to fully acquire and exchange knowledge from the environment of special operations with foreign partners.

     At the event, the Special Operations Forces Command (SOFCOM) was represented by the deputy commander of the SOF, Colonel Jaroslav Krám, accompanied by the commanding non-commissioned officer of the SOFCOM, Staff Sergeant Major Martin Boháčik and other colleagues.

    The participants of the conference looked at a wide range of infiltration and exfiltration possibilities on the water surface, on the ground and in the air. The soldiers were transported by boat on the water, they used diving equipment under the surface. The aerial method of INFIL / EXFIL included ground-level flight, helicopter landing, airborne landing and thick rope method FRIES (Fast Rope Insertion Extraction System).
